Easter Appeal- Herz Werk

Herzwerk (Heartwork) is a ministry that reaches out with Jesus’ love to those enslaved in the scourge of human trafficking. Herzwerk, a diaconal initiative, was started by Rachel Zuch (the sister of, ADLW’s assistant, Phil Shade) in 2007 and is based in Vienna, Austria.

Herzwerk Needs:

  • Prayer
  • Workers
  • Financial Assistance used for day to day operations and salaries

The number of people coming who are requesting help to exit prostitution is far more than Herzwerk’s one trained social worker can currently manage. They will have to begin very soon to start to turn people away just because they do not have the manpower. Herzwerk is desperately in need of another full-time person to help deal with the case load. Herzwerk is completely privately funded. With the gifts through this Easter Appeal we can help Herzwerk obtain the financial resources needed to hire a new trained staff member.

I am absolutely convinced after 14 years in this ministry that staff is our most valuable asset. Without them, we cannot do any of the important and necessary work that we do, and I would like to humbly ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with us to that end.

-Rachel Zuch, founder of Herzwerk

An opportunity to give an Easter offering in celebration of our Resurrected Lord and our resurrection life in Him by supporting Herzwerk

Through Easter we are raising funds for this wonderful ministry and wounded people from around the globe, including China, Nigeria, Brazil, Europe, and elsewhere.

We will be sharing the stories of some of those whose lives have been transformed by Christ in the Katartismos Global blog.

We can all learn to see these beloved ones of Jesus through His eyes, by hearing Rachel Zuch’s words and experience:

In my own journey of working with people in prostitution, I had to come to a point where my thinking changed! When I began to hear the life stories of individuals, the women that I saw standing on the streets of Vienna or sitting in the windows of brothels stopped being “prostitutes!” They were “just” women and girls, even some guys… “people” with a family, a history, a story, gifted, creative, resilient… most very much in need of someone to reach out to them with respect, dignity, mercy and the love of Christ!

Matthew 9: 35-38
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness. When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.”

Free gift earrings are chosen randomly. Preferred preference is not available.
