(Based on my speech THE FACTS ARE IN: MORE AND MORE EVIDENCE OF THE CCP’S BRUTAL AND CRIMINAL ACTIONS at the annual rally against the CCP held by Falun Gong on the National Mall, July 2026 where I had the challenge of following basketball legend Enes Kanter Freedom as next speaker! In light of General Secretary Xi’s visit to Washington, DC, I’m posting this to provide prayer points for Xi’s visit.)
Good afternoon, everyone. I am Faith McDonnell, Director of Advocacy at Katartismos Global, a ministry to equip Christian advocates for the persecuted. I’m so happy to be with you here to support Falun Gong once again in standing against the CCP and its appalling, genocidal actions towards Falun Gong for 27 years, and against Uyghur, Hong Kongers, China’s Christians, and people of various captive nations. We are also here to demonstrate against the CCP’s harm to our own nation. The facts are in. The CCP poses an existential threat to the United States, as well as the Chinese people and captive nations. We are all in this together! Here’s a few examples:
First, and most horrifically, we have the FACTS about CCP forced, live organ harvesting. When I read Jan Jekielik’s stunning book KILLED TO ORDER I understood CCP elites think they can extend their lives indefinitely with continual transplants! In this case, the FACT is that this evil practice will not save them. God will not be mocked by their using human sacrifices to try to attain eternal life!
We have the FACTS-the CCP is oppressing and terrorizing people outside China. Falun Gong practitioners have been a top target of CCP’s massive transnational repression. Communists have seen what a powerful advocate for good and truth Shen Yun is through the beauty and grace of dancers, singers, musicians – the CCP wants to shut them up and has threatened them with graphic depictions of many horrors.
We have the FACTS on CCP efforts to capture American civil society in order to destroy us. The Crossroads’ Joshua Philipp declares the CCP “buying off journalists, politicians, investors, influencers – like Hasan Piker, who “loves Mao,” – and business leaders. . . is one of the greatest threats to the free world.” He also reported on facts we recently heard from President Trump, the CCP interfered in American elections.
Finally, I want to encourage us with some steps taken to help stop this threat:
Recently, Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, Riley Barnes, assured the International Religious Freedom Forum of the Administration’s commitment to those persecuted by the CCP and to using all appropriate tools to pursue accountability for Chinese officials’ involvement in repressive acts.
There’s the Falun Gong Protection Act that passed unanimously in the House. And the Senate Foreign Relations Committee advanced the Falun Gong and Victims of Forced Organ Harvesting Protection Act last month. These have impact on the CCP. Now, you can PUSH! If your congressman is NOT a co-sponsor, ask them to co-sponsor bills that impose well-deserved punishment on the CCP.
Also helpful, the House Select Committee on China and Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. Recently Representative John Moolenaar and Senators John Cornyn and Tom Cotton introduced the Stop PRC Economic Espionage Act of 2026, to amend current law and make it harder for Chinese entities to commit economic espionage, and easier for the US justice system to prosecute. It would remove requirement to show that a Chinese company is controlled by the Communist government. Because the facts are in: we KNOW the CCP treats every business as an arm of the state!
Also, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is urged not to purchase Chinese memory chips. There’s a global shortage, but the solution is NOT to open the floodgates to China because the facts are in: this would aid the CCP’s distorting markets and destroying profitability–to dominate critical industries.
There’s also a proposal from some senators to build a memorial honoring all victims of the CCP — right under the noses of CCP diplomats in International Park, across from the Embassy of the PRC!
Final good news was the recent release from prison of Pastor Ezra Jin of Zion Church, Beijing. He was arrested and imprisoned last October and finally returned to his family after pressure from President Trump and others. But many other leaders and members of his church remain in prison. And another needing deliverance is our own former Ambassador at Large for International Justice, Morse Tan, being held as political hostage by the Government of South Korea! Just yesterday (July 22) he was indicted for defamation and his exit ban was extended again. South Korea is undergoing communization, leaning towards the CCP and North Korea. We thank God for Pastor Ezra Jin’s release and rescue, and we ask Him for the same thing for Zion Church members and for Ambassador Morse Tan.
Please continue to use YOUR voices, speak truth, fight for good legislation. The Bible says, “nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.” Exposure is taking place before our eyes. Don’t lose hope, because there is a God who is above all earthly regimes, who loves you, and created the nations of the world — including China — for HIs purposes. He will not let His purposes be thwarted by evil men forever.
