equipping the saints for the work of ministry – ephesians 4:12
I have attached the end of the year report on Katartismos Global’s advocacy for persecuted Christians worldwide and on helping to see the Church fulfill its role of extending God’s Kingdom. This was the report that was sent to all those on the KGI mailing list. In June we sent out a report about the first six months of 2024. If you’re not on that list and you would like to be, you can request it by contact me at advocacy@kgiglobal.org.
This post is an additional commentary on the events described in the report that I didn’t have time (or space!) to include, to let you know more about my activities representing Katartismos Global.

July – Our July Efforts Rewarded in December!
In July I was a featured speaker to Public School Exit organization, founded by Dran Reese, about the Title IX Network. Katartismos Global is one of Title IX Network’s faith-based organizations. The Network has worked to stop dangerous expansion of Title IX which has taken place during the last four years. This month our efforts were rewarded as the Biden Administration’s Department of Education withdrew their proposed rules governing participation in single-sex sports according to gender identity! The Title IX Network sent out a press release on December 23 exclaiming, “The Marxist-inspired social experiment known as “transgenderism” suffered another setback this past Friday.”
August – Speaking Remotely from The America First Warehouse, and in Person to My Prayer Posse
In late 2023 I was blessed to connect with the Mordecai Mission, led by Pastor William Green. This wonderful group of brothers and sisters in Christ from all over the United States live for Jesus with conviction that we are “for such a time as this.” It is a blessing to be part of this group and also has some very fun aspects — like getting to see (if not yet visit in person!) the very interesting America First Warehouse! You can see it for yourself and hear our seminar about the threat of global health regulations from the WHO here, choose Mordecai Mission Summit 8/11/24.
Also in August, as in many months, I was blessed to present a briefing on the global persecuted Church to a team from Aglow International visiting DC. I affectionately (and gratefully) call Aglow “my prayer posse.” I LOVE it when they come to town. I know that I am providing information to sister warriors who will not only wage intercessory prayer on behalf of the persecuted (and on my behalf!) but will do whatever they can do to rouse Congress and spread the word to others. They are a great example to the rest of the Body of Christ!
September: A Trip to Texas
September was full of great opportunities for ministry! Amongst the events, highlights for me were lunch with Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) and the Anglican Persecuted Church Network conference, One Body: Hope for the Persecuted, in Arlington, Texas.
No, I didn’t get to dine alone with the wonderful Senator Josh Hawley! But I did get to attend the Christian Statesmen luncheon at the Museum of the Bible honoring him as the Christian Statesman of the year. Senator Hawley is well deserving of that honor. He is a fierce fighter for truth and freedom, and he is a man of God who knows how to pray! I’ve heard him pray at Sean Feucht’s Let Us Worship on the National Mall several times. I recommend the senator’s book, Manhood: The Masculine Virtues America Needs, especially for dads to read together with their teenaged sons. And as you can see from my report, I did get to have a photo with Senator Hawley. I look forward to seeing all the good things that Senator Hawley will do in the coming year.
September ended with our conference led by Patricia Streeter and I at St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Arlington, Texas, just outside of Dallas. We were all wonderfully hosted by the Rector, the Rev. Canon John Cruikshank and his wife Mary Beth. They treated us like royalty throughout our time there, with much good Texas food. The speakers were terrific, focused on China, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sudan, and Armenia, inspiring the conference goers to integrate intercession and action for persecuted Christians into their lives and their fath walk. How about you? I had the opportunity to sing with the worship team! Something I have not had the chance to do in over 30 years! Worship leader Marcus Foster and his local team, Andrew and David, were very welcoming to Slater, Jenny, and I to join them. I think our conference was a way to whet the appetite for the upcoming New Wineskins Conference 2025 as well as more regional conferences both for the Anglican Persecuted Church Network and other New Wineskins Networks.
